The advances in healthcare made possible through technology are quite literally lifesaving.

Telemedicine, remote diagnostics, predictive modeling, electronic health records, and so many more innovations are changing healthcare in dramatic ways. And at the same time, these game-changing technologies are presenting new challenges.

Patient safety is of paramount importance to everyone in healthcare. And that safety extends to a patients' medical record.

Cybercrime is on the rise and increasingly, medical records are the target. Why? Medical records are financially attractive to criminal element as the street value is worth fifty times that of personal information. More alarming is the fact that health care data breaches are on the rise, with one in every six attacks aimed at health care. The resulting harm includes theft of: personal financial information which can result in identity theft; medical identity theft which can result in denial of medical coverage; medical record alteration which can result in misdiagnosis, improper treatment and ultimately death.

HIPAA and HITECH are intended to protect patient privacy and ultimately patient safety. Understanding and complying with these complex regulations is a challenge for virtually every healthcare organization and getting it wrong can be devastating both financially and to an organization's reputation.

Gamxing® was founded to help healthcare organizations optimize training for HIPAA and HITECH and reduce the risk of breaches and resulting patient harm, fines and reputational damage.

Gamxing® delivers fun, interactive and engaging regulatory and compliance training through a patent pending innovative series of games. We offer HIPAA compliance training, as well as other training programs, including OSHA and Sexual Harassment.
